Northern Territory is popularly known as the federal territory of Australia and it is the third largest federal division of the country. Its archaeological history dates back to 40 millennia. Northern territory is sparsely populated with least number of people residing there. The citizens of Northern Territory are otherwise addressed as “territorians”
Northern territory celebrates the special occasions on public holidays and also declares school holidays for children after every study term. The four seasonal breaks generally termed as NT school holidays include autumn break in the month of April, winter break in the month of July, spring break in the month of September and summer break in the month of December.
Though Northern Territory is sparsely populated, it has a network of sealed roads, including two National Highways, through which the citizens visit different places in and around the other states of Australia during NT school holidays.
Various cultural and sporting events are held in Australian states and territories, school children residing in NT visit other states along with their parents to enjoy their NT school holidays in the best possible way.
Northern territory has two distinctive climatic zones out of which one is dry season and the other is wet season. The dry season is from the month of May to the month of October and the wet season is from the month of November to the month of April.
The NT school holidays fall in both the distinctive climatic conditions and so children get to enjoy the monsoon rains and the warm summer mornings as well. The experiences of getting drenched in the monsoon drizzles and playing outdoors on a warm summer morning are absolutely tough to explain. The children residing in NT enjoy both these wonderful events during their NT school holidays.
