NRL grand final

Rugby league is one of the fascinating and most loved games across the world. Apart from Soccer and cricket, Rugby has stolen the hearts of most Aussies. The world’s elite sports event, the National Rugby League is one of the biggest sporting event that happens in Australia every year. The NRL grand final is one of the big annual events that attracts a worldwide audience to watch the televised live game.

The league has significance in Australia because out of the sixteen contesting teams, fifteen are based in Australia and one in New Zealand. The competition proper is sponsored by the Telstra Corporation and so it is called the "Telstra premiership". The NRL grand final is the main rugby league football event that gains maximum viewership and attendance.

The NRL grand final is the most anticipated event that is no less than an embodiment of Australia’s competition. This was a follow up of Sydney’s club competition which has been a continuous event since 1908. The NRL took birth in the late 1990s with the collaboration of the Australian rugby league.

NRL matches are played in different cities across Australia and New Zealand in between the beautiful autumn and spring seasons. The season best accompanies the rise of Australia’s most popular sporting events; especially the NRL grand final.

The NRL grand final is a real big event that is largest attended and viewed in the world. Interesting fact is that the NRL grand final 2011 is the 105th season. While Rugby lovers love to watch the championship live on the ground, the chance to buy tickets for the final can be difficult to obtain as seating is limited. But most fans enjoy watching the game live on tv on Sunday during the Labour Day long-weekend in October.
