Pumpkin carving, spooky outfits, ghostly objects and scary sounds… Halloween! The very thought of Halloween makes our eyebrows raise and our lips go wide. A fun-filled scary day after months of tiresome work and what more can one ask for? Halloween is fully loaded fun.
Imagination of children and adults simply makes wonders happen while the poisoned foods and accidents can be little worrisome but it’s still wonderful to participate in the thrill-filled event.
Halloween is not just spooky costumes and parties. It is believed that when scare crows and carved pumpkins are hanged to the doors, the unhealthy elements around us feel itt as a retreat for them.
Halloween started as a day dedicated for those dead to revisit their people and homes and celebrate. This day is also celebrated as “All saints day” and the dead are praised and worshipped. On the other hand, to appease the unhealthy elements and safeguard their habitat, people lit candles in carved pumpkins to ward off evils.
Halloween is considered as the auspicious day for those who worship the evil and this day is celebrated as the eve of New Year by witches. In true sense, Halloween is celebrating the destruction denoted in nature during winter season.
Halloween sounds scary but it is not really dangerous as long as people don’t practice witchcraft and just enjoy the fun-filled events or games. On the other hand, it is believed that involvement with fortune tellers and Satanists could be dangerous. It should be considered as a day dedicated to the dead and nothing more than that.
Halloween in 2011 falls on the 31st of October which is Monday. So, it is going to be a long weekend after a real tiresome work schedule. Thanks to the Halloween celebrations, people get to spook others and have real great fun!
